This class teaches students of all levels to throw on the wheel and learn basic hand building techniques. Cost includes 25 #s recycled clay, all materials, glazes, and tax. Firing separate. Between classes -open studio time is $5/hour. If class has already started, students can join remaining classes with a 6-class pass or individually at $60/class. NOTE: This class needs at least 3 students to run.

If you wish to explore making animal inspired sculpture and learning sculptural methods that apply to any idea but have little or no clay experience, this class is for you! Elliot excels in representational subjects while Joan has years of clay experience and a BFA in sculpture (and tends towards the abstract). Extra studio time: $5/hour. If the class has already begun, students can join in late by paying a per class fee or purchasing a 6-class pass.

Class is designed to teach students of all levels to throw various shapes on the wheel. Students walk their pieces through the entire process throwing, trimming, and glazing, and their pieces are fired by our staff. Cost includes 25-pounds of clay, all materials, and glazes. Time: 12-2:30pm

Six week workshop learning the art of Nerikomi (colored clay)! Students will learn how to choose and mix mason stains into clay, as well as make patterns - including stripes, checks, herringbone, bullseye, flower, jellyroll, and larger block patterns. Students should have a basic understanding of ceramics, and be able to either throw forms on the wheel, or hand-build.

In this six-class Advanced Wheel Workshop, we will dive into the world of cruets. What are cruets? These small pouring vessels, used for olive oil, vinegar and soy sauce, have endless possibilities without being as daunting as a teapot. We will work on bottle forms, spouts, and stopper lids. We will also discuss what makes a set, and work on other functional and handheld tabletop forms such as shakers, spice bowls, and lidded jars.
